Då skulle jag ha det här rummet … som mitt kontor. Jag skulle måla det vallmorött, och så kunde jag sitta och skriva.

Because, why?

Why is it that the people who created us get all the credit? Just because they accomplished the most basic of human biological functions they get a holiday named after them. And then we are tortured with guilt if we don’t want to have a relationship with them. [---] Why do I owe [them]? And why is it the child who always has to forgive? Because she’s your mother. Because he’s your father. I am so done feeling bad about not feeling bad!
